What can I do if Cirrus Insight disappears from my inbox?

Cirrus Insight for Gmail
  1. Confirm that Cirrus Insight is installed as an extension in Chrome or add-on in Firefox and is enabled. If you're using a new browser, please install Cirrus Insight.

  2. Clear your browser cache.

  3. Try reloading Gmail or opening Gmail in a new browser tab or window.

  4. Try hovering your mouse over or clicking the name or email address of the sender of an open email message to trigger Cirrus Insight to refresh and appear in the Gmail sidebar.

  5. You may need to disable a conflicting extension. In Chrome, navigate to Settings > Extensions to manage your extensions. In Firefox, go to Tools > Add-ons to manage your add-ons.

  6. If those steps do not work, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the Chrome customization menu

  • Go down to More Tools

  • Select Developer Tools from the secondary menu

  • Select Application from the menu at the top.  You may need to select the ">>" symbol first to expand the list of options.
  • Expand Local Storage on the left and then click on https://mail.google.com
  • In the Key column, click on Is.gmailAccounts to highlight that row

  • Note: Ensure the correct row is highlighted before proceeding to avoid deleting the wrong data
  • Delete the entry

  • Refresh your Gmail and the Cirrus Insight panel should now return.
