About Brandon

Brandon Bruce is co-founder of Cirrus Insight, a bootstrapped software company in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

Cirrus Insight is a plugin for Gmail and Outlook that automatically keeps Salesforce CRM up to date for sales teams.  It  intelligently syncs emails and appointments from Google for Work, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange to matching prospects and customers in Salesforce.  Cirrus Insight also includes power tools for salespeople in Gmail and Outlook including email open tracking, follow up reminders, and mail merge templates.

Cirrus Insight has grown from a two-person startup to a thriving software-as-a-service company with 60 employees in 6 locations. Cirrus Insight is the 3rd highest rated application on the Salesforce AppExchange. It has been installed by over 150,000 professionals in more than 3,500 organizations worldwide.

Prior to starting Cirrus Insight, Brandon worked for Maryville College as the director of major gifts and grant writing. He has also worked and volunteered for children's nonprofits in California and in Washington, DC. His first job after graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara was managing operations for a high-speed networking company that served customers in California and New Mexico.

Brandon has given presentations at the United Nations in Switzerland and at UN events in Malta and Ethiopia, at a Group of Seven summit in South Africa, at the Junior Summit in Japan, and at a Global Knowledge Partnership conference in Malaysia. He has also spoken at dozens of Salesforce User Group meetings around the country and at many entrepreneurship events.

Brandon was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce in 2016.  He was also included in the 40 Under 40 for 2015 by the Knoxville Business Journal.

Brandon enjoys cycling and once raced his bicycle across Death Valley as part of the Furnace Creek 508.  He finished in 35 hours and 7 minutes. He also enjoys running, swimming, and hiking. Brandon lives in Knoxville with his wife, Tricia, and their two children, Sonoma and Carson.
