Buyer Signals Dashboard, Aggregated Signals & More!

Introduction

When engaging multiple stakeholders at a prospective company, it can be difficult to identify who is most engaged and where to focus your efforts.

Buyer Signals helps solve this by tracking email engagement—opens, link clicks, and replies—so you can prioritize the right contacts and close deals faster.

Buyer Signals provides:

  • Individual email insights (People tab)
  • Performance summaries (Analytics tab & Dashboard)
  • Team-level visibility (Admin feature)
  • Email-type filtering for deeper analysis

Note: Microsoft Outlook (Office 365) users may need to reauthorize their email connection due to updated Microsoft permission requirements.

What Are Buyer Signals?

Buyer Signals track how recipients interact with your emails by measuring:

  • Email opens
  • Link clicks
  • Replies

Each tracked email generates engagement data so you can identify high-interest prospects and prioritize follow-ups.

How Buyer Signals Work

Whenever you send a tracked email, Cirrus Insight monitors:

  • Opens
  • Clicks
  • Replies

These signals are displayed across multiple views:

  • People tab (per email)
  • Analytics tab (recent activity in sidebar)
  • Signals Dashboard (historical + analytics)

📌 Engagement reflects activity across all recipients of an email.

Sending Tracked Emails

To enable Buyer Signals:

  1. Open a new Compose window.

  2. Add recipients.

  3. Enable:

    • Track email opens

    • Track link clicks

Tip: Enable tracking by default in settings to avoid missing data.

Tracking Link Clicks

Gmail:

  • Links are automatically tracked when hyperlinked
  • No additional action required

⚠️ Bare URLs cannot be tracked

Outlook:

  • Click Update Tracking before sending
  • Required after making edits to links

Tracking Replies

  • Configure reminders (optional)
  • Send email

  • Apply settings

Viewing Buyer Signals

Sidebar People Tab (Updated Experience)

The People tab shows engagement for a specific email.

✨ Enhanced Engagement UI

Buyer Signals now appear in a streamlined “Engagement” section.

Improvements:

  • Cleaner, consolidated layout
  • Reduced clutter
  • Easier scanning of Opens, Clicks, Replies
  • Expand/collapse functionality
Coming soon: Custom layout controls via People tab editor (planned 2026)

Sidebar Signals Tab

The Analytics tab in the Cirrus Insight sidebar will display a summary of sent emails for the past 7 days without the need to select any email. The Analytics tab shows:

  • Total Sends
  • Percentage of sent emails that were opened and replied to
  • Percentage of sent emails that had a link clicked

This real-time feedback lets you identify which emails are driving the most engagement—so you can follow up with the right prospects at the right time.

Accessing the full dashboard:

  • Click “View More” within the Analytics tab to open the full Buyer Signals Dashboard

📌 This is the fastest way to move from a quick snapshot to detailed performance analytics.

Signals Dashboard

The Signals Dashboard provides up to 90 days of engagement data, including:

  • Aggregated signal graphs
  • Time filters (week → 90 days)
  • Search and sorting
  • Last activity details

📌 You can access the Signals Dashboard at any time by clicking “View More” from the Analytics tab in the sidebar.

🆕 Email Type Filtering (Standard vs Email Blast)

What’s New

You can now filter Buyer Signals data by Email Type directly within the Signals Dashboard.

Available views:

  • All Emails (default)
  • Email Blasts only
  • Standard (1:1) Emails only

Why This Matters

Previously, all engagement data was combined, making it difficult to evaluate performance by email type.

With this enhancement, you can now:

  • Isolate Email Blast performance to evaluate campaign success
  • Analyze 1:1 email engagement for active deals
  • Compare performance between bulk outreach and personalized communication

What This Solves

  • Eliminates the need to manually search for emails
  • Reduces noise in analytics
  • Provides clearer insights into messaging effectiveness

How It Works

  • Select your desired Email Type filter in the Signals Dashboard
  • The graph and data will dynamically update to reflect:
    • Only Email Blasts
    • Only Standard Emails
    • Or both combined

📌 This allows for more accurate performance analysis and better decision-making.

🆕 Team-Level Buyer Signals (Admin)

What’s New

Admins can view aggregate Buyer Signals across their team.

How Team Grouping Works (Important)

Team-level data is organized based on the “Department” field assigned to users in the Cirrus Insight Users Dashboard.

buyer-signals-grouping

  • Buyer Signals are grouped by Department values
  • This allows admins to filter and view engagement data by team (e.g., Sales, Customer Success, Marketing)

Example:
If you are a Sales Manager and want to view Buyer Signals for your Sales team:

  • Each team member must have “Sales” set as their Department
  • Only users with that matching Department value will appear in the filtered team view

📌 If users are missing or incorrectly grouped, verify their Department values.

Managing Department Values

  • Department values are managed in the Users Dashboard
  • Admin access is required to update other users’ Department fields

Access the Users Dashboard here:

Key Benefits

  • Monitor team-wide engagement
  • Identify top-performing messaging
  • Compare rep performance
  • Eliminate need for impersonation

Important Notes

  • Only Cirrus Insight Admins can access team-level Buyer Signals
  • Non-admin users cannot view other users’ data
  • Team views depend on accurate Department field configuration
  • Feature availability may vary based on rollout stage

Understanding Locations

Location reflects the most recent open or click.

Keep in mind:

  • Locations are approximate
  • VPNs and mobile usage may affect accuracy
  • Changes may indicate forwarding or multiple viewers

Best Practices for Accurate Tracking

  • Allowlist cirrusinsight.com/ in Gmail admin settings
  • Use hyperlinked URLs
  • Be aware of tracking limitations (VPNs, proxies, etc.)

Frequently Asked Questions
